Too many paths,
Too many ways, But the price of sin, Only One pays. Existing law, Judges enforce. Murder, DUI, rape? Can’t bribe or coerce. Good deeds don’t erase The crime committed. Being sorry won’t fix The lives affected. It’s justice. Commit a crime, And when caught, You’ll do time. Nothing unclean Can enter heaven. A batch of dough Is ruined by leaven. Sin stains us all, Who can be saved? Trust in Jesus, Sentence is waived. Wages of sin is death, But in Jesus there’s life. Nobody can pay, Regardless of strife. Have you ever lied? Or perhaps stolen? Many sins we are guilty of, Are you truly that golden? We all have standards, Follow laws and morals. But why would God follow Rules made by mere mortals? They’re all so different From person to person. What’s normal to you, Others see as inversion. Travel to other countries, And you must conform. Follow their laws, And cultural norm. A crime in Egypt Is not tried in Timbuktu. There’s only One judge We must answer to. It’s God’s world, His rules. You can protest or fight, But that won’t change What’s wrong and right.
