His heart went into us,
Yet man draws a blank And has forgotten Who to thank. Does God not tell us He is an ever-patient, All-knowing yet loving Father? SUFFICIENT. Why seek pleasure Elsewhere? Nothing satisfies, Wisps of air. True happiness Is everlasting. The Father’s love, Nothing surpassing. We would be content, Believe it or not, Merely to be in His presence, Not with what we got. Don’t blame God For the woes and sorrow. Though the fault lies with us, Erased now and tomorrow. Christ paid the ransom, The ultimate sacrifice, If we accept and follow. Could YOU pay the price? It is finished. No one can add, Or do it better, Than Jesus with Dad. A love undeserved,
Why did You reveal? Broken and lost, Now filled with zeal. When I was still Living blindly Sin was invisible, Yet You treated me kindly. My love has grown Since that day, As I read your Word And continually pray. Some things were instant, Others took time. You are still purging, Changing my paradigm. Keep correcting, Fixing, showing. Increase my knowledge, Keep me growing. Climb a mountain,
Run through a forest, Watch as eggs hatch From a dove’s nest. In colorful flowers You dress the meadows, Send us the rain, Feed the sparrows. The work of Your hands Such a joy to behold. Cannot imagine more, Yet heaven’s foretold. Make leaves dance among Birds and crickets chirping. Paint lilac sunsets over Vast oceans splashing. What is man that You Pay him any mind? What good in us Could You possibly find? Nobody is perfect But Your only Son. None but You is good, It is us that have won. When we choose You, Better than a lottery. Riches and status, Nothing but vanity. No matter the majesty, The gold or the jewels, On earth or in heaven, Treasure He that rules. He made it all, Glory be to God. Even tiny details Leave me awed. Take to a microscope, See double-helix DNA; In cells enzymes and Nucleotides in RNA. Proteins that would not Work Were a single amino acid Missing. Yet the infinite and curious Creatures You created, From anteater to platypus, PEBBLES to what’s awaited. Who Will Listen?Excuse me sir, could you spare a moment?
Don’t want to buy anything, Don’t care about whales, Don’t tell me about poor kids, Or any tall tales. How about you sir, can you spare a moment? Don’t want no tamales, Gotta go in a rush. Is that a Bible you’ve got? Whatta buncha mush. But sir, mush it is not. It’s true and of love. Why not give it a shot? I’ve heard it before, He didn’t hear me. Don’t wanna hear it, Now go leave me be. How about you ma’am, do you have a moment? I’ve gotta feed the baby, Got another kid at home. Some other time maybe, Why don’t you try them? Yesterday one, today none. It’s not easy, they don’t know. I just want to help them, But they walk off and go. They take their leave, As Jesus looks on. Why won’t they listen? “They’re not ready son.” Will they ever be? Will you be one to see? |
